Happy Mothers Day, Mom

Mother. No words can describe my feelings to the most incredible creatures that I know since I came to this world. The one who love me even before she saw me, the first person who burst into tears when I called her mom, a person who smile when knowing I want to be astronout in the future, a person who tell me that I'm beautiful in every condition, a person who cheer me up in the first day of school, a person who says no to my boyfriend when I was in junior high school, a person who wait me in front of the door when I came home late when I was in senior highschool, a person who support me to go to the best university, a love-hate relationship, a person who is my worst enemy as well as a super lover, a person who look at me with her beautiful eyes and say "happy birthday, don't grow too fast", and a person who I loved the most and always will.

Thanks mom for being a great mother, thank you for showing me the real world, thank you for direct me to the a right decision, thank you for hit me with your words because that was the lesson learned, thank you for always saying the ugly truth instead of beautiful lie, thank you for support me in every time, thank you for standing behind my back as a mother, standing beside me as a friend and standing in front of me as a leader, and thank you for loving me without being asked.

And I want to say sorry for all my stupid mistakes, my impolite words, my crazy attitudes, my bad point of view, and all of the things that might hurt you.

I promise you, someday I will be te person who can makes you smile, who can take care of you just like what you always did to me, a person that you can lean on and a daughter that you can be proud of.

I love you,
Happy mother's day.

Dream, Believe, and Make it Happen :)

Another miracle happened to me last night, me and both of my friends in the photo got the 3rd place of traveling competition held by Daihatsu. First of all, this competition held in their website, then we try our luck to join this. We have to make a post card and make a story about our friendship, fortunately from 14.000 participant, we were choosen to be 105 candidates of Daihatsu Cerita Sahabat. In this term, we attend the event, and shared our friendship story to the judges. Beside, we also have to sing the Daihatsu song. Then the idea came up, because the three of us can't sing well, we have to be stand out, then we wear those clothes (look at the photo), Ajeng (in the left) draw 1 and DAI, me (in the middle) draw 0 and HAT, and Dita draw 5th and SU, we're dedicated this to DAIHATSU 105 anniversary. In the judges room, we didn't sing well (our prediction real happened) then we shared our friendship story, Dita told them that we have different characteristic and personality, but this diversity make us one, just like Indonesia quotation; Bhineka Tunggal Ika (Berbeda2 tetapi tetap satu), while Ajeng told them that we're also democracy, in this friendship we care about each other but never force each other to tell their secret or problem. Moreover, I told them that our t-shirt represent our feelings and proudness to be one of 105 candidates of Daihatsu Cerita Sahabat.
After judging section, we went out from that room, looked each other and laughing out loud. Cause at that room, we're like throwing our feelings towards this friendship, we try to believe that we can do this. Even though, we can't sing well, and truly don't know that the judges likes our story or not.
The announcement held at night, we gathered in Djakarta Theater, surprisingly there was Sheila on 7 which remind the three of us of prom night. Then finally, the announcement...... There are three places as the prize, the first winner will be going to Japan, 2nd winner to Manado and the 3rd to Bali. Our target was to Japan at that time, then they called the 3rd winner first, when it comes to teenager category my friend's name called "IMANIAR NAHJAN RADHITA" that is fuckinglyyyy our grouuuuuppp!!!!! Alhamdulillah..... even though it's not Japan, we still thankful for this :) at least our effort paid well and the most interesting part is BALI FOR FREE :D Thank you Daihatsu Cerita Sahabat for this opportunity, happy 105th anniversary!! <3

Success isn't the destination, but the journey itself!

Well it was a very nice moment to look back. Nescafe gave me an opportunity to explore one of the city in Indonesia, my sweet hometown, Aceh. Maybe it sounds weird that I explore my own hometown, but the truth is I never explore my own hometown, except Banda Aceh. Therefore, this is my oppotunity to see how beautiful my hometown is, and visit all the incridible places in it. I live 19 years named Tjut Aliffah Keumala, for your information "Tjut" is a traditional name from Aceh, I personally have that name with pressure. Why? Because everytime people in Indonesia know there's Tjut in my name, they'll asked me with usual question "Are you from Aceh?" I definetely said yes, "How's Aceh? Is it a beautiful place? What is the tourism place in Aceh?" with this question, I answered "I don't really know, cause I only visited banda Aceh and for me the food is amazing". I kinda embrassed with this answer, cause I know they expect more and wanna know the information from me. Back to Nescafe Journey, I was super duper mega exited that they gave me this opportunity to visit Aceh.
It was Monday, 17th of September, we gathered in Soekarno Hatta airport waiting our flight to Banda Aceh. I carried my super heavy backpack and everyone laughed at me knowing the fact that my backpack's size is half of my short body haha. The trip went amazing when we reached Takengon, after our long damn trip from Banda Aceh to Takengon, our exhaustion got paid by the scenery. We went to Danau Laut Air Tawar, this is the picture which captured at that time:
Then the plan is, we want to visited Meulaboh (this is my grandma's hometown). I never been there, so the exitement raised to the high level!! haha. We need more than 8 hours to reach Meulaboh, its already dark outside, the road was not good, finally we decided to stay at the locals house to rest. But the problem is, in our group there are two ladies and three men and we know that the religious atmosphere in Aceh is so strong. So we decided to stayed at police office in Rikit Gaib village. It was the very first time for me to sleep in the police office, me and Bulan stay in the mushola while men stay inside the police office. It was a creepy place to sleep, not the mushola but outside! I heard someone knocking outside and heavy things fell down, and all I can do is just hoping the sun rises quicker than before. This is my photo with the police, his gun and mas Darto:
It was can not be uttered uttered by words when I leave the police office, thank God we just stayed there 1 night. So we continued our trip to Meulaboh. It was a very ugly road we passed, rocky road, road climbs and the worst is there was no service in our cellphone. We passed the shallow river and we have to went out of the car in order to ease the burden on car. In the middle of our way to reached Meulaboh, our car got stucked, the car could not passed the uphill rocky road. Heavy rain fell, there was no locals went down from the hill.. so we decided to go back.. I was a bit sad that we can't go to my grandma's hometown but the journey goes on....so we just facing the reality that we need to go back :')

We went to Medan and took the direct flight from Medan to Banda Aceh. The day after, we went to the most amazing island in Aceh, Sabang island. This island offered us a very nice beach and yes, Im falling in love with the scenery.. We went snorkeling at Iboih island (one of the snorkeling spot in Sabang), we also go diving, it was the very first time and the last time for me to go diving, cause I sucked in the intro diving practices T.T haha
This island is located in the western part of Indonesia, particularly where the western part of Indonesia began. Cool isn't it? We went to the 0 km and enjoyed sunset there :)

Our journey went very well.. We had a super great time together, this is my Nescafe journey team; Mas Darto, Bulan, Me, Mas Tyo and Mas Onie (from left to right). In a short span of time, they've become my new family. Thanks Nescafe for the journey, the opportunity and the experience. Especially, thanks for my team who made the trip amazingly unforgettable <3

Worst vacation ever

My eid went fine before I go to the most annoying place on earth: Wonogiri. Actually wonogiri is my hometown, but knowing the fact that the whole family (grandma, uncles, aunty, cousins) is in town, I think there's no need to go to Wonogiri. Doesn't mean I'm arrogant or something but the trip just irritates me, we rent a big bus for the whole big family, we spent 17 hours and more just to reached Solo then went to Wonogiri. Crazy isn't it? And the house in Wonogiri just...........makes me in misery. Anyway I don't have to explain about it, I just want to tell that keeping a tradition that makes you sick is not cool. If my grandma or some close family still in Wonogori, I'd love to go.. but this is different situation :'(
Moreover, we went to Semarang for some holiday, and yes I expect a very nice place in Semarang.. Doesnt have to stay in luxurious hotel or expensive place, one that I need is just COMFORTABLE. Too high expectations bring you down, that quotes bang me when I reached the hotel in Semarang. I feel in the haunted place and need to struggle (again) just like in Wonogiri but in a different situation :'O
The hotel was creepy and my room was spooky.. My cousin said that this hotel was hounted, in the end I can't sleep at all. 'Great' vacation.. I hope I don't have to go to Wonogiri again, unless my grandma or one of my close family move to Wonogiri.

My Pakistani brother *justkidding*

One month ago, me and my parents (just me and mom exactly) want to have an experience being a host family for home stay student. At the very same time, one of organization in my campus held some summer project and they invited lot of students all over the world. My friends whom join that organization offered me the chance to be a host family, and I definetely agree with it. My friends gave me two option, because all of the foreign students already have host family, they only have two foreigner left which were from Chinese and Pakistan. Personally, I don't have idea how to choose this in a sudden, so I just randomly choose a student from Pakistan. My friend said that the student is a girl, ofcourse I'm totally fine it, but suddenly my friend called me that the student is a boy and they don't have any foreigner left, he asked me if I'm fine with it? I asked my parents and they agreed with it (even though I'm a bit worried). Shortly, this is the story that I wanna shared, a boy from Pakistan suddenly become my brother, without any introducing we met up in the airport on 14 July 2012 when I picked him up.
I went to the airport with my best friend, Yuka. She accompanied me cause both of my parents can't picked him up with me. I waited for approximately one hour, but he did not came out from the gate, all of the estimation came up in  my mind, Does he missed the plane? Or he cancelled suddenly? I'm in a super panic situation, thank God Yuka with me. I started to figure out from the information desk, the boarding board, and finally I got an idea to asked some passenger, even though they didn't gave me a conclusion. They just told me that the plane landed from an hour ago which was I know it!
After that me and Yuka went back near the gate and just.........wait. Finally there's a guy walked out from the gate and I'm a bit familiar with his face. I'm sure that he's my homestay brother, I know it from the photo, I ran to that guy and showed the paper written his name on it. And he looked at me and we shaked our hand. He told me that the luggage is missing, it was the airplane fault, therefore it tooks his time. So we went home and from that moment we became a very good friends, he is a very nice brother, loving and caring person. We had an unforgetable conversation everyday after he went back from internship, He's very smart, he tought me lot of things, gave me advices, and important information about life and worldwide situation. He changed my mind about his country, Pakistan. I thought Pakistan is a war country, but he explained that Pakistan isn't a war country and so on. Beside all the heavy conversation, we had fun together everyday, like I made jokes and he respond it with funny faces and words.
Thirty five days with my brother flew so fast, I never thougt that we'll be a very good brother and sister. It was 18 August 2012 the day that he went back to pakistan, I feel very sad at that time, knowing the fact that my brother will be gone. He gave me his journal in Indonesia so I'll remember him every time and I also gave him a CD which contained some video so he will remember me in the future. I dropped him to the airport, I hate goodbye. We promise that someday we need to meet up again, I have to go to Pakistan someday, its my promise, so did him, he promise me to visit Indonesia again, I hope it will become true :) See you Jahanzeb Hadi. Thank you for being a very nice brother, it was an amazing one month.. xx

My Journey

According to my hobby wich is traveling, I decide to join some competition held by Nescafe coffee called Nescafe #journey. In this competition, firstly we have to share our journey dream in Indonesia and make story about it. Secondly, we can share it through facebook or twitter and choose who is our aspirer (the celebrities who will join the journey and they have privilige to choose who's the winner). With all consideration, I finally join this competition just to try my luck. Actually I have a lot of journey dream in Indonesia, but I decide to write about Wakatobi in Sulawesi, it is one of the best marine park in the world. This recognition makes me want to see how real they are. After that, I choose Imam Darto as my aspirer, why I choose him it simply because he's my favourite announcer, he is a hilarious and fun person. I shared my story and ideas to facebook and made some tweets mentioning wakatobi as my dream #journey. Surprisingly, from thousands of people who shared their story, I became one of the 60 candidates of Nescafe #journey. I was very happy when they called me and no words describe that feeling. Even though, the competition still going on, after they choose me to be one of the 60 candidates, they will reduce the candidates to 6 person only. Another requirement is, I have to make video about my ideas why I want to go to Wakatobi marine park and introduce my self. And then I have to asked my friends to gave comment to my video and describe who I am.

Yesterday, nescafe team called me and I was on the phone with Imam Darto, my lovely favourite announcer. He wanna know more about me, the interviewed was going well, I hope he is interesting with my ideas and like my personality. It was just an interview, the winner announcement still 20 days from now, if I'm not mistaken. I just wish all the best for this.

I passionately want to win this competition is because I really appreciate if I can travel without my parents money, when you get something because you put effort in it, it will be more valuable. I'll share further information if I win this competition, hopefully :)

Brighspot

This afternoon I went to brightspot at Gandaria City, this is the second time that I came to brightspot market. As an indonesian, I'm so proud that brightspot provide our local brand to distributes their products through this event. In fact, this event bring our local brand to reach a recognition from society in Indonesia. Cause mostly, international brand are more trustable for indonesian people. But through brighspot market, Indonesia designers prove their capability in selling goods. Well, to be honest, the price is approximately the same with international brand, but I admit it the model is very nice and some of the fabrics are good quality, in my opinion. I'm so proud for those local brand, because they've a really nice creativity.

I bought blezer and unique clothes in an affordable price. The boutiques were Majic and Coloriot. I'm not advertise their products for sure, but their clothes are pretty. This aftenoon wasn't crowded. So it was fun to have a big space to shop hehe. The brightspot market is in the third floor of gandaria city mall, 7-11 June 2012 at 11am - 11pm. Enjoy! ;)

Survivor From the Sky

Yesterday I went to my ietls course, on that day the activities that we did was reading task. The teacher gave me 2 reading passages, one of the articles is about the story of young lady who survive from the plane crash.

In remarkable documentary, Wings of Hope, German director Werner Herzog recounts the true story of an eighteen years old girl, the solo survivor of a plane crash in the Amazon jungle 1971. Twenty-nine years later Herzog returns to the jungle with Juliane Koeple, now 46 years old biologist, and she tels her amazing story on film.

Juliane had just graduated from highschool in Lima, Pery and, with her mother, was flying out to spend christmas at her father's research station in the jungle. A half hour into the flight they encountered a horrific storm. In the midst of wild turbulence, the plane was struck by lightning and fell into a nose dive. Passenger screamed as baggage flew around the compartment. Then the plane broke into pieces and suddenly Juliane found herself outside free-falling 30,000 feat. 'I was suspended in mid-air, still in my seat. It wasn't so much that I had left the plane but that the plane had left me. It simply wasn't there anymore. I was all alone with my row of seats,' says Juliane. 'I sailed on through the air, then I tumbled into a fall. The seatbelt squeezed in my stomach and I could breathe anymore.' Before she lost consciousness, Juliane saw the dense jungle below, 'a deep green, like broccoli', with no clearings for hundreds of miles.
Somehow, miraculously, Juliane survived that fall from the sky. In the film, she speculates on a number of factors which may have combined to save her. First, the storm had produced a trong updraft from the thunder clouds. Secondly, being strapped into a row of seats, she was aware of falling in a spiralling movement, like a maple seed pod. Then hitting the canopy of trees, she tumbled through a maze of vines which slowed her landing in deep mud.

But surviving from the fall, though miraculous in itself, was just the beginning. When Juliane awake hours laterm wet and covered with mud, she was still strapped to her seat. Staggering to her feet, she assessed her injuries: a fractured bone in the neck, concussion and deep cuts in her leg and back. She was also in shock, lost and totally alone in the amazon jungle. No doubt it was her familiarity with the wilderness that enabled her to cope. Her parents were biologist and Juliane had grown up in the jungle. She realised her only hope was to follow a little stream of water nearby, trusting that it would eventually lead to a larger river and rescue. With no provisions, dressed in the miniskirt she had worn on the plane and wearing just one shoe, she set off through the jungle. She passed broken fragments from the plane -  a wheel, an engine. 'Initially, I saw planes circling above me, but after a few days I realised the search had been called off,' she said.
Surprisingly, she felt no hunger but as the days passed her health was deteriorating rapidly. The gash in her shoulder, where flies her had laid their eggs was now crawling with maggots. 'I knew I'd perish in the jungle so I stayed in the water.' Walking in the stream however presented one risk more serious than any others. Before each step she had to poke ahead in the sand with a stick, to avoid treading on poisonous sting rays, lying hidden on the bottom. As the stream grew into a river, swimming was the only option. However, here in deeper water, there were new threats. Crocodiles basking on the shores slipped silently into the water as she passed. Juliane trusted that they feared humans and were entering the water to hide. She swam on. On the tenth day, starving and barely conscious, she spotted a hut and canoe. They belonged to three woodcutters working nearby. Rescue was at hand.

For this 46 years old woman, re-living such a traumatic experience on film must have been a great challange. But she shows little emotion. Flying back into the jungle she sits in the same seat (19F) as on that fateful day. She's dispassionate, unemotional in describing the flight. On the ground, when they finally locate the crash site, in dense jungle, Juliane is scientific in her detachment, looking through the deribs, now buried under dense vegetation. She examines a girl's purse, the skeleton of a suitcase. Walking along the stream, she spots the engine which she remembers passing on the third day. Her arms and legs are covered with mosquitoes, but she seems to ignore all discomfort. Then, back in the town, standing in front of a monument erected in memory of the victims of the crash, entitled Alas de Esperanza (Wings of Hope), Juliane comments simply, 'I emerged, as the sole embodiment of hope from this disaster.'

The Power of Words

Hi guys, how are you? I hope you're doing fine, cause I'm actually in a really down situation which was I don't know why. Maybe it because the complicated feelings caused by final examination. So I go back to this blog and found out there's something good to write. I've seen this 2010 advertising last year in marketing communication class. It wasn't grab my attention but it just gimme a simple lesson. "The Power of Words" they said. Yes, choices of words were so important. We can see from the video above that the man got lot of money after the kind lady change his words. The lady was simply change the arrangement of words from "I'M BLIND PLEASE HELP" into "IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY AND I CAN'T SEE IT". How the effect of words could change people mind and act. She turned out the words sounds emotionally persuasive. Then prove that it works. From the study called Semantic, "Words mean different things to different people, depending on the backgrounds, occupations, education and geographic locations." Pretty interesting isn't it? How words may change attitudes. Therefore, the making of advertising takes time, the plan, the concept, the strategical words or could be tactical at the same time. As an advertiser they have to be creative, unique as well as smart to deliver a good messages through words.

Thanks for reading my blog, hope you gain more knowledge! xx

Salutations :)

Hi, this is the fourteenth blog of mine. I want to introduce myself, my name is Tjut Aliffah Keumala, mostly people called me Iffa. I'm 100% muslim, it's a really beautiful religion, it's good for my heart. Well why I wanna introduce myself in the fourteenth, cause I was born in Bekasi, 14 March 1993, so I'm proudly 19 now.. (no way, it's going on 20 T.T). So um, I'm a student of Universitas Indonesia majoring Communication, particularly Public Relation. I'm the only one daughter of loveable parents on earth. Lot of people told me that being the only one daughter is ah-mazing.. but hey, you didn't know how being a solo mediator of internal marriage problem was scary enough. But I admit it there's a joy of being the only one daughter such as: living like a princess, being the main concern of parents and so on.. Actually all the situation is like a coin there will always be two sides, in a real life the choices are being good or bad. My favourite food is sushi and my favourite drink is mom's home made es buah, it's so yummmyy. My hobby is traveling cause I love to see something new, meet new people especially the locals, new culture, different languages, gain new information and experiences. I also surround by incridible best friends and friends whom I can't mentioned one by one here, but I do love them. They gave me lots of love and support after my parents.

My life is change since I was in a university, nowadays I become an open minded person. Regarding to this blog, it's one of my practices in the future. Cause being a public relations practitioners, you gotta have a writing style and be unique. Fyi, PR isn't a person who only good at public speaking but actually PR is a strategy of a company, the job is to maintain the communcation flow intern and extern of the company, keep the reputation/image of the company stay stable or maybe make it better, engage with the media and etc. According to media, my lecturer said that the PR person is the one who have privilege to write what happen in the company to media, therefore writing skills is required to be a PR. It's hard actually, but it's already in my dream-list that I need to achieve someday..amin!

The other purpose of writing a blog, my reason is simply because Imma overreacted person, that's why sometimes I have different interpretation on something and the easiest way to relieve it by write it down. I also a lil bit want to inspire people by picturing real facts and try to captured it in my blog, so if people read it, they will easily absorb it and learn the lesson from it. My blog is actually dedicated to all of people in this world, that's why I made it in english the universal language. Cause there's no racial/religion/gender/ethnics obstacles for knowledge. I really hope that what I've wrote would be useful for everybody. I'm sorry if I made a mistake in my previous blogs. Hope you always enjoy my writing.. stay positive! :)

Unstoppable

Today I was watching 2 movies in a row, one of them is a 2010 movie called "Unstoppable". I usually didn't interested in American action thriller movie, but this movie easily grab my attention. With the director Tony Scott, the author Mark Bombac tried to potraying two unstoppable man which are Danzel Washington as an veteran allegheny and West Virginia Railroad engineer Frank Barnes (Denzel Washington) and freshly hired conductor (the young cute man on the left in the picture above) named Will Colson (Chris Pine) attempt to stop an unstoppable train with no conductor in it. Shockingly based on a true story,  CSX 8888 incident, tells the story of a runway freight train and the two men who tried to stop it. I can't even imagine how to handle such kind a big trouble like that in a real situation.
So basicly, this two men survived from the freight train, but they're kindly to ran after that train just to safe the entire city. Cause the freght train bring lot of chemical liquid that can be exploded easily. And yes, just like the other movie, they're the hero of this movie. But is not as simple as a hero like spiderman and friends, they're a real human who are knowledgeable about train and the technically stuff. Considering the value, it's very touching when I saw these man lay aside their shelfishness in the sake of public safety. Very inspirable, I wish every driver, pilot&copilot, conductor, motorist, even becak driver still have to think about public safety. Now I sound over-wise, I'm not salam super or salam 165 tho, so I just want to remind all of you who read my blog to increase self-awareness of the importance of public safety.  So anyways, this movie is good enough in spare time. Not a heavy movie, valuable and you'll receive the good messages such as be brave, don't give up easily, be strong and bla bla bla... lot of good thought and lesson in it. In conclusion, happy watching guys!

Lovely Living Fairytale

Been a long time didn't wrote anything in my blog. It's not that I'm too busy, but I admit it my laziness become more acute. And yes, have lot of things to do, many great things happened to me, but now I'm still struggling in final examination.
Go back to the topic, new video, new lesson as well hehe. The video above is about Got to Dance competition in UK, cute ballet duo by Tayluer and Elliot was a breath taking. Tayluer Amos 8 years old and his partner Elliot Hana 10 years old shows that number means nothing. The maturity and power of their movement stole my attention. Their coreographer, Nazene Langfield teaches Tayluer and Elliot at her dance school in Old Swan. Those lovely young children have a big passion who simply love to dance.

The connection between them makes their movement seems so beautiful. The accuracy, balance, power, and self-confidence makes them a really good story teller. And how that little man could catch Elliot's weight in a second and seems effortless. Actually, I'm not a dancer and expert of it, but I received the story of their dance. Even though they're not the winner, but they won everyone's heart, include me :p

What a lovely living fairytale.. I dont know what the secret but the relationship between them seems like a true story. They're born to dance..
You guys have to take a look at the other Tay and Ell's dances, just check it out on YouTube and click the final's dance with Just the Way You Are song by Bruno Mars. Its a wow ;)
Or you can check it out in here http://sky1.sky.com/got-to-dance-home/tayluer-elliott-final happy watching!

Silent Love

This is the most tearful advertisement that I've ever seen. Did you ever watched an advertisement that makes you cry? If no, maybe this is the first time. Cause it was the first time for me cried badly when the Thailand advertisement played by my lecturer. Basicly, they want to advertise Thailand insurance for the local people there. But it become popular because the content of the story is very touchful. This is the drama family conflict between dad who have a speech defect and her teenage daughter. Her daughter has been bullied at school cause the condition of her dad and she has a problem with her stupid boyfriend as well. Meanwhile, her dad is really love and care about her. Every single thing he did is dedicated to her daughter, I mean he still want to dropped her daughter to school with that condition, try to picturing nice words to her and love her deeply. The stupidity of teenager sometimes isn't realize that parents is more more and more important than anything in this world. The silent love from her father is really big, but she has been blind with lied spoken love story from her boyfriend. Then when she tried to suicide, her father took her to the hospital and rendered his blood to her daughter. Finally, her daughter realized that love from his father is way too big to be betrayed. This insurance smart enough potraying the needs of us to insurance ourself and people that we love. From the last tagline "Guard those who care about you", chorincally with the story above.
Thanks for reading this & watched the video people, hope it'll give you an inspiration :)

The happiest Guy on earth :)

Hi guys, been several days didn't write anything on my blog cause feel so lazy not busy hehe. I wanna share another story from the guy that inspired me today. My aunt gimme this video, actually I already seen it a couple years ago but I forgot it and when she showed me this video this afternoon, it was tears me up. An Australian guy called Nicholas James Vujicic or well known as Nick Vujicic was born on 4 December 1982. Henwas born with the disability called Tetaamelia Syndrome or a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. Did you ever heard the quotes about "Kekuranganmu bisa menjadi kelebihanmu" or "Your disability could be your ability". I was, one of the person who underestimate this quote. But hey, when this happy guy played his role as an motivational speaker, his words slapped me on the face but touch my heart at the very same time. With his disability, he struggled mentally, emotionally and physically but he said in his video with the real example of how he fell down and find a strenght to get back up ;"Sometimes in life we fall down and feel like doesn't have a strenght to get back up. But do you think if I down here I can get up cause I've no arms no legs. It should be impossible for me to get back up, but I will try 100 times to get back up, and if I failed 100 times, if I fail and I give up, do you think that I'm gonna get up? NO! If I failed I try again and again and again and I just want you to know that this is not the end! It matters how you're going to finish." It was the part which extremely touch my heart and tears me up. And also the clapping hands and tears from his audiences in that video was completely prove me that he touch people's heart by his experiences. He presented motivational speeches, hope, and about finding the meaning of life. Vujicic had been bullied at school, he grew depressed and when he was eight thinking about suicide. At the age of ten he drown himself but did't go through with it out of love for his parents. He always praying to grew his arms and legs but it never come true until someday his mom showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severe disability. Vujicic eventually realized that his accomplishments could inspire others and become grateful. He began to practice the daily tasks of his life such as write using with his two toes on his left, learned to use computer, learned to throw a tennis ball, play drum pedals, get himself a glass of water, comb his hair, brush his teeth, answer the phone and shave. In grade seven he was elected captain of his school and work with the student council on fund raising events for local charities and disability campaigns. When he was seventeen, he started to give talks at his prayer group and eventually started his non-provit organization, Life Without Limbs. In 2005, Vujicic was nominated for the "Young Australian of the Year" award. And on 12 February 2012, he married his fiancee Kanae Miyahara.. Whatta happy ending T,T

I LOVEEEEE HAPPY ENDING!! WISH WE CAN MEET UP NICK&KANAE. FAIRYTALE SHOULD ADD MORE STORY LIKE THIS :''''') KANAE IS A REAL PRINCESS, FOR SURE..

Some of the information is from wikipedia and video from youtube. Are you happy now? me.. YES :)

Irritating women models in advertisement

Back again writing my blog, I'm too boring waiting the doctor at 6 while I already arrived at mom's office at 4. I want to share the other interesting information, my lecturer raise this issues on my Introduction to Advertising class. It was a long interesting video about how media potrayed a women. Me as an upcoming women feel so bad about this, it's honestly the real irritating and so bad. Based on my pictures above, I choosed not-to-contrversial ads, there's a lot.. A LOT if you opened the advertisement.. a LOT of advertisement used women as a model and I don't know why they made them as a sex sales, I mean they were like a thing that will increases the sale but with a really bad mode/act and bad approaches (sex). It's a little bit hard to explain but, look again at this picture below :
This picture for me was harsh, why they use women as a sex thing? I don't know you're agree or not but, if you're a women, maybe you'll understand our feeling bout this. I was not give my attention to those advertisement but when my lecturer played the video in our class, I realized that us, women, has to be more respected. Even if you're so beautiful, have a great great body, it's ok to use a sexy dress but don't ever picturing ourself as low as that. Besides, it makes "stereotyping" among women nowadays. Cause media built our perception into some definition of  "beauty" like beauty have to be white skin, tall, skinny, long hair and ect.. So I want to warn for every girls who read this, we're beautiful just the way we are. There's no pride if you keep changing yourself and be anyone else. The pretty side of our self is in our attitude and brain. Yes, those are the most important thing rather than being pretty just like the ads women. Sorry for the lack info, need to go now.. Bye :D

Extremely sparse, Lee Ah Lee

I wanna share some story that maybe will open your eyes and be grateful of who you are. According to my hobby play the piano, I wonder to play one of my fav song but it was too hard so I gave up my self and better to play the other easy song. But then, I remembered this women, Lee Ah Lee. The girl who inspired me of not giving up in play piano, well actually it's bigger than that. Something about "no pain, no gain" and if you have a dream you've to run for it no matter what in condition are you just forgot the obstacles and go for it!
When I was in junior highschool, it was 2007 if I wasn't mistaken, Lee Ah Lee came to Indonesia for her piano concert tour in Asia. My mom, who always forced me to play piano asked me and dad to saw her concert. I was agree with her idea because of this women has only four fingers to play piano. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT? I'm luckily have ten fingers but I quit learned classical piano in 4 years cause I'm fed up with that theoritical bullshit things in classic, but I change my genre into pop cause it's more fun and umm easy :p And yes, Lee Ah Lee gimme her sparkle when she played the piano. When this korean lady entered the stage, the clapping hands were filled Balai Kartini room. Even though she's physically defect, she already gained international recognition in playing piano. From she was born, she suffered down syndrome and both of her hands has only two fingers. The fingers deformity like this is usually called lobster claw syndrome, the shaped were like the tweezers of lobster and there's no palm of hands. She was also born with legs only to a point of knees, so she can't step on the standard pedal of piano. Therefore, she has the special pedal made only for her size. I was surprise but sad at the same time, cause she was like the normal women with her beautiful smile, said hi to the audiences with her korean english accent. Very funny and entertaining, but hey when I looked her fingers, I internally speak to my self, is she really played the piano? like seriously? Then she pushed the toots of piano for real, and the first song was "Love Story". I was freeze at the moment, and so does my parents I guess. And those four fingers really did entertained us in I forgot how long the concert was, but yes, she really did played it and that international recognition was not true, she got the Earth recognition in my opinion. She got the technique, she got the style, the musicality, the dynamics and those every ten fingers musician has, I recognize that she has it as well! Then, she introduced her mom, the powerful lady who raise her with full of love and acceptance. The video about her lifetime was played, her piano teacher is a really strict person, Lee Ah Lee had to practice 10 hours per day. Cause her difference with others required her to practice more and more. Her mother also strict about this one, she pulled Lee Ah  Lee to piano and forced her to practice. And the result is, we can see now, all the effort clearly answered, Lee Ah Lee become one of the great pianist known worldwide. Now hehe, I looked up myself and definetely acknowledge the fact that I quit classic class before giving my all effort on it. At least, yeah thank God at least I still played it until now :) Even though it more pop and easy music. You already know the story of Lee Ah Lee and I don't want to be so super to motivate you guys. Just gained what I shared above, if you like it thankyou.. Hopefully we can be as success as her, remember we 've 10 fingers to show it.

Somebody That I used To Know!

Belgian-Australian singer and song writer Gotye written his own song from his own experienced he has had with relationship produce an outstanding song "Somebody that I used to know". He choose New Zealand singer named Kimbra to be his duet in this song. This song was suprisingly success and known worlwide at the end of 2011 and keep raising in 2012 now. The fact that there was an amazing covered by a lot of social network musician in YouTube clarified that this song is loveable. For the first evidence is :

  • The covered by the Canadian Indie Band; Walk Off The Earth got almost one hundreds million visitor of their videos in YouTube and performed in Ellen Show.

Their performance actually simple but very unique to be seen. They just use one guitar and everyone have their own privilege and job to do different thing and made it sounds amazing. The first singer Ryan Marshall have an extraordinary voice and make the beginning of the song beautiful, when I heard the reff by the classic guy Gianni Luminati, well I admit it was superb and superB and SUPERB. Can't even explain it anymore.. The blonde called Sarah Blackwood was insane as well, her soft voice coming up, but her voice strong enough in the high tone I'm totally out of the blue. Well the others, Mike Taylor the beardman hehe he looks melancholy but he keep on the rhythm and Joel Cassady the drum-man, he's cute and I always love drummer :p really nice improvisation, really do love it for sure. I'm sorry if I was mistaken for being a commentator, I just give a comment from what I've heard :)

  • The other covered is from an accapella band from Texas, "Pentatonix" a group of five vocalist Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola.

Their performance have a different kind of soul from the Walk Off the Earth band, cause they didn't use any musical instrument, but they use their own voice. This group of this vocalist prove that accapella no longer as seen as a boring genre of music. They made this song looks very cool and professional. Just take a look and comment it by yourself hehe, you're gonna love it! trust me.

  • Christina Grimmie, one of the celebrity in YouTube!

She looks a lil bit crazy here hahaha! But it's good in the end, take a look her covered songs. Her voice is very strong and she's also beauti

DanzaTrice 07 massive success!

Last friday, I went to my senior highschool Labschool Jakarta to buy a Labsproject 2012 tickets (an annual event in my highschool held by the 11th grade). I bought the ticket from my junior which is the saman dancer as well, I came to her at the usual place for practice (Ruang Kaca). I was surprise that they'll perform not only the saman dance but also Rampai Geleng dance. The dance which is come from Aceh just like Saman but we use the circle things sounds like drum just like the pictures above. And my mind flew away to two years ago, the time that my batch held this big event LabsProject 2010 Future Vision. In that time, me and my saman dance team called DanzaTrice07 also performed Saman and Rampai Geleng dance. This event was the top part of our dance history. We had been prepared for this event approximately 3 months. Why it took so long? Because this is our own event and we want to performed the best of saman dance ever. Our coach gave us an advice to perform Rampai Geleng dance, the mix with saman dance will be very cool and attractive. We're agree with the idea and began to practice three times a week if I wasn't mistaken. It was very hard and need to be patience all the time. The group formation from left to right of our dance was Cassandra, Ajeng, Faya, Indi, Lathifa, Dini, Nane, Iffa (me), Dida, Dhea, Lea, Lulu, Tika, Ayas, Nadya. Me, Dini, Nane, Dida and Dhea were in the middle and it's our job to make some kind of flower by made a circle path and turn around and around, it was sick and insane but I admit it makes the dance looks beautiful with the dance combination by other friends in the right and left. I know it sounds confusing but believe me, there's something more insane when we performed. Finally the day we've been waiting for is come. Me and DanzaTrice07 were stay in the hotel near Senayan (the place we held LP'2010). We've to do final practice on the spot in the morning before the event. So we're going to practice with all the enthusiasm even though I've confession to make that I didn't remember all the song lyrics yet hehe (so does some of the girls :p). But I don't know why what's wrong with us, the final practice wasn't as good as the other practice. There was a dissapoint face from us, the crew and the EO people. Because they were hoped that all of Labs Performance by students was attractive just like the event. I feel sad cause we're going to perform at night and we don't have time to practice all the time it'll make us tired. So we're just praying and hoping all the best for that night. Then, after long preparation at the hotel, we're going to the place in the afternoon to helped the other crew, watch the band performance or staying in the backstages. We did our make up 2-3 hours before the show. After all the waiting and prepared, we're going to performed, I feel numbs, nervous and suddenly forgot all the dance movement. We did our ritual praying by hand in hand and made a circle of us. After praying we stood near the stages waiting the Syekh (Saman dance singer) begin to sing the song. The syekh was yell out 'Assalamualaikum kami ucapkan..." the beginning of our performance, we went to the stages in line, the audiences were.....(speechless)....very very crowded. The 9000 audiences waiting for their favourite band and screaming to us.. But then, miracle happened, the syekh started to sing "Sallatulah..salamullah.." which is everybody knew it, and Gelora Bung Karno sing it loudly until we don't even hear the syekh sing, a little bit scared we miss the beat but we're fine until fiveteen minutes we entertained the crowds, they're clapped their hands loudly everytime we raise the beat of our dance and yes, they love our performance. We went to backstage, yelling, screaming, hugging and laughing to each other. The teachers, parents, friends congratulates us, we're the celebrity in a minutes hehe. Ofcourse we didn't forgot to pray again, thanked God for everything, for the massive success and for our team. We did it!! Long Live DanzaTrice07

And back again to the Labsproject 2012, it's on Saturday, May 12 2012! Buy the ticket now, and Goodluck for the crews and performances.. :D

It's exist in Indonesia

If you want to coddling your eyes with a real beauty scenery, Bangka Belitung is a nice choice for you. I went to Bangka Belitung island last year, after pass the national examination, my mother who always organized a holiday vacation choose Bangka Belitung as our destination. I was really exited about to leave Jakarta and all examination ahead. My exitement was corroborative! After one hour and fourty five minutes on my way by airplane, finally I entered H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin Airport, Tanjung Pandan, Bangka Belitung Island. I'm about too exited to see the beach, even though it just the three of us, but I'm sure it'll be fun. On the next day, we took a one day package tour in Tanjung Pandan if I wasn't mistaken, cause most of the places are called with Tanjung I guess. The plan was we're going by sailing boat to go around the beach, small islands and snorkeling. When we're in the middle of the sea, I was enchanted by the scenery around, I'm shocked in a second and said to my self  "it's exist in Indonesia"! I oftenly draw attention to other country. There was a lot of big stone in the middle of the sea with a gradation color mostly the blend of grey, white and black with palm trees around them and blue sky background. It's similar with hand painting for sure, but this one was God's painting. So you better extend your imagination or visit it by yourself. Then we're going to small cute island, it was only a sand and stone but we're permitted to take a picture over there and swimming. We're having lunch in other island and in the afternoon, we went to snorkeling! And yes, the miracle happened again, the water was so clear, it feels like we're in the swimming pool but the floor was the coral sea, seaweed and small fish, sooooooo damn beautiful. I wanna swim all day long for real.. Me, mom and dad enjoy the snorkeling until the tidewater comes. On the last day, we visited laskar pelangi place (based on laskar pelangi book&movie) and just take a look and pictures there. It was a short lovely vacation with family, realizing that my family hobby is traveling, I'm so glad of being part of them.

Inside Toraja

Do you know which ethnic use this model for a house? This is called Toraja house, or called Suku Toraja (Ethnic Toraja) particularly in Makassar. Two years ago, me and my friends Dhea and Yuka decided to go traveling. And we choose Makassar as our destination in order to try the Trans Studio amusement park in Makassar city. It was new in Indonesia so we were like very exited to play all the ride and we thought it was just like disneyland (teen girl love dreaming). But reality hit when we know it just way too far from disneyland and yes, media very smart covered a news for Trans Studio. I'm a bit dissapointed cause most of the ride was belong to the kids. We stayed at my aunty's house but on the next day me and myfriends decided to go to Toraja city (one of tourists area in Makassar) it's a long way journey cause it took 8 hours. The tourists object that we curious the most was a unique Toraja house and the cave where the umber of human corpse. Well it becomes more and more exited but creepy at the same time. First we take a look to Toraja house, the shape of the roof is move upward and it must be a philosophy of this house but I don't remember anymore. And they usually keep the human corpse inside the roof if they didn't have money yet to make a death ceremonial cause it will takes hundreds of million rupiah. They have a really big death ceremonial in the purpose to appriciate the deadmen of their life and to share happiness to others, not sadness. They will bought a buffalo, pig, buy the space in the cave and everything and it costly for sure. So it was really unique for me, it's different from my religion which is muslim. Then it was very interesting when we permitted to take a look inside the cave. I admit it was creepy but the guide man was really good even though he's a bit creepy as well. And I saw many skull head in that cave, it's kind of state of stress cause it was scary and I don't know why my friends were fine about that. It was a rarely moment in my life, took a vacation in a different place with different cultural background and lot of superstitions in it. Well it's great for additional information, therefore I love traveling.

The story of Wedding Dress

This is one of the movie which was took my hours and lot of tissues. Every teardrop of mine I considered worthed because this movie taught me a lot about the relationship between mom and daughter. Those of you who already watched this movie would understand my feeling I guess. This sad love story between mom and her daughter clearly defined in this movie. According to the title, wedding dress, this story told us about a single parents women who have a stubborn daughter but she really love her. One day, her mom suffer from a dangerous disease that could make her die in no spesific time. Knowing that she'll not attending her daughter wedding, as a wedding dress designer, she makes a beautiful wedding dress for her little daughter to be used when she got married someday. The sad part in this movie is knowing that the relationship between them was so close, knowing that her daughter have an interpersonal communication among her friends makes her mom really take care of her and be the best mom, dad, friend, bestfriend and everything this little girl wished for. Time goes by, her daughter know that her mom suffer from disease and she felt sorry case she makes her mom cried several times. When her mom become inpatient in the hospital, her daughter show her best to make her mom happy in the end. And the way this girl and her mom act really take my breath away, I can't even imagine a day without mom, it will drag me to misery I guess. The messages from this dramatic movie was obvious, it's motivation for us to love our mom more, don't make them cry over you but makes them sweep out of our achievement that make them proud. I admit it I'm still learning until now, but every time I remember this movie, it's wake me up. The ending was really dramatic, her mom died peacefully and her daughter cried over her but at least, she make her happy in the end of her life by showing her best to changer her stubborn attitude. This movie is highly recomended, just for your information, you;ve to prepare lot of tissues before you make your own flood of tears haha..

Taylor Swift

Who doesn't know this beautiful lady? Lemme break the rules beauty less brain, cause this lady is one of the most popular singer who best known worldwide. In her age which is just 22, Taylor Swift had become a mucisian who wrote her own songs and lyrics. This lady totally inspiring me, I've became her biggest fans from junior highschool until now. Not because she's become mainstream around teenagers, and I don't really care if I love mainstream music, I like her art, her music and the way she expressed it. She played the guitar and put country genre in most of her songs. What I love the most is how she sang the song and somehow it feels connected with me cause I receive the messages really well. She's a good story teller, sometimes I feel like not every singer is a good story teller, they just sing it really well with lot of improvement and makes them sounds damn professional but I dont get the messages from their songs, I just got the technique. That's why we can differenciate who singer sang with the technique only and who's singer who sing it with the heart. And I do prefer with heart instead (that's why I broken heart a lot) HAHA no privacy thing now. Continue my opinion about Taylor Swift, I really appriciate the way she dressed up, thank God she's not one of the women singer who picturing themselves as a slut. I mean, she didn't wear a very sexy dress to sell her music, especially in her video clip and performance. I'm wondering why women singer nowadays wear a very sexy dress and act like shit in her vidclip just to grab the attention. Hello? It's your music and voice! And it makes me more and more adore with Taylor Swift cause she doesn't act like that fortunately. She can be a role model for us, especially young lady. Bac again to her music and lyrics, I played her music over and over again and still falling in love with her song wich are, Long Live, Our Song, Back To December, Never Grow Up and etc. She said that when she wrote a lyrics it feels like her diary but when she sing it she knew that she's not alone. I'm totally agree with this statement cause yes, you right ms. Swift that lyrics is represent our feelings and it'll happened no matter what all over the world maybe. Meanwhile, I want to standing ovation for your lyrics which is some of them dedicated to your someone special, especially Back To December, I knew who's that guy and hopefully you guys will coming back together cause both of your name can be Taylor Lautner haha! One wish from me is, please come to Indonesia cause I'll be in the first row to sing aloud.

My first blog: How a novel can inspired me

Hi, this is the first time I write a blog. Well today is sunday, 29 April 2012. I supposed to go to my campus event but suddenly I got sick and need to bedrest. Considering the fact that I'll be at home all day long, I start my "sunday morning" with writing a blog. I wanna give a summary about some novel that I really appriciate besides Jody Picoult novel (the most loveable author for me). The title of this novel is 5 cm, the author is an indonesian, Donny Dirgantara. He's smart and way too funny, the writing style was great, he put a lot of valuable messages but in a different way to persuade us. What I love the most is he also put a lot of quotes from great people to motivate us, his humorist style can be motivate us as well. This novel told us about the journey of life, complicated lovelife, the diversity makes a sweet friendship, the power of nature, about God, and how to reach our own dream. Maybe it sounds ordinary as a novel, but this guy Donny Dirgantara package the story quite extraordinary, therefore it makes the novel become one of the best seller in Indonesia. It's very proud knowing that penmanship in Indonesia is growing up nowadays.
Even though I'm one of the people who's a bit late of reading this novel, I never regret it cause books never counted an age, year, even decade. The story of 5 people (Genta, Riani, Zafran, Arial and Ian) are amazed me. How those ordinary characters believes their own dream by putting their dreams 5 cm from their forehead so it's forever in their mind but at the same time they can saw it by their own eyes, keep focus and have a faith that everything they want it'll be happened based on the effort. And now it's a little bit helping me to be an optimist person. Cause now, I put my dreams 5 cm from my forehead and I saw it many times from now on, and I'll achieve it someday. This recomended book is a must to be read, read it, absorb it, live it! <3
